Tech salaries inch upward

As of May 2006, the national estimated salary for auto glass repair and replacement technicians was $32,050, up 5 percent compared to the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, in Washington, D.C. The national estimated hourly wage inched up to $15.41. Vermont took the top spot from Minnesota as the highest paying state for technicians, with an average salary of $45,680.
