2007 Urethane adhesives guide

AutoGlass magazine offers a comprehensive database of 49 adhesive products for auto glass technicians. The chart features urethane adhesives from 10 North American companies: Adco Products Inc. of Michigan Center, Mich.; C.R. Laurence of Los Angeles; Dow Automotive of Dayton, Ohio; Eftec Aftermarket of Troy, Mich.; OETech, distributed by Pilkington North America of Toledo, Ohio; Shat R Proof Corp. of Savage, Minn.; Sika Corp. of Madison Heights, Mich.; Sommer & Maca Industries of Cicero, Ill.; Sterling Products of Amityville, N.Y.; and 3M of St. Paul, Minn. Missing from this year’s guide is PPG Auto Glass of Pittsburgh, which has discontinued its line of auto glass urethane adhesives. The chart offers detailed information on each product in categories such as minimum installation temperature; minimum drive-away time with dual air bags; lap shear at drive-away; ultimate cure time; and lap shear at ultimate cure. Company representatives also provided recommended uses and additional helpful information.
