Glass-clad Legg Mason Tower earns LEED Silver

The basics: The glass-enclosed, 26-story, 360-foot-tall Legg Mason Tower in Baltimore features 4,000 custom unitized glass panels. The building, which serves as the global headquarters for Legg Mason, earned Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, with the Legg Mason headquarter space achieving LEED Gold. Trainor Glass Co. fast-tracked the glazing installation, completing one floor per week.

UCW-700VR Series Unitized Curtain Wall System; Oldcastle Glass Engineered Products Series 2266 Terrace Doors; Kawneer 200DT Terrace Doors; and Kawneer Series 350 IR Storefront Doors. 1-inch clear insulating glass units with PPG Solarban 60 on the No. 2 surface; 1-inch insulating glass with ceramic frit and subdued gray on No. 4 surface.
