GlassBuild America ends for 2008

North America’s largest glass and fenestration trade show ended Oct. 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

GlassBuild America show management reports the verified visitor figure for Las Vegas as 8,019; the total registration figure as 9,292.  Show management also reports 168 exhibiting companies signed up for nearly 100,000 square feet of space for next year's GlassBuild America in Atlanta.

"We are so pleased with the turnout this year," said Denise Sheehan, vice president of Industry Events for the National Galss Association, McLean, Va. "It's definitely a sign of the current economic times that not everyone was able to join us this year, but we had 8,000 decision-makers in the aisles and a lot of happy exhibitors."

The first day saw 6,000 attendees in the aisle; on the second day, 7,300 attendees were on the show floor. Attendees walked the 161,260 square feet of floor space to see 485 exhibitors.
