 Arch Aluminum and Glass

Officials from Arch Aluminum and Glass LLC, Tamarac, Fla., made several executive appointments. Jeff Leone was named chief executive officer, effective July 22. Leone, formerly director of strategic marketing for Mapei Corp., with U.S. headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Fla., has held worldwide leadership roles in commercial operations, strategic planning and operations management. Leone also has held executive roles at BASF Corp., with U.S. offices in Florham Park, N.J., and the now defunct Basell Polyolefins, a joint venture of BASF. Additionally, Suresh Kumar was named chief operating officer. Kumar, most recently president of Kumar & Associates, Denver, brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the company, having worked at Oldcastle Glass, now Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Santa Monica, Calif., and Vitro America, Memphis, Tenn., where he held executive roles in operations, purchasing and business development.

 

Salem Distributing Co.

The 47 employee-owners of Salem Distributing Co., Winston-Salem, N.C., appointed Michael Willard president. He has 25 years of glass sales management experience, the last 11 years as Salem’s national sales manager and executive vice president.

As EVP, Willard directed 23 field sales people located throughout the U.S. and Canada, and managed the company’s strategic diversification. His efforts as a member of the management team were instrumental in successfully steering Salem’s transition from a privately owned company to a 100 percent employee-owned company.  

C.R. Laurence Co.

Officials from C.R. Laurence Co., Los Angeles, announced that David Jones has been appointed vice president of sales for Jackson Products at CRL. Jones has more than 35 years of experience in the door hardware industry, and represented Jackson Corp. in the southeastern area of the United States for 16 years. His primary focus will be to re-establish Jackson’s position in the OEM market, expand the current supply network and develop new markets for door closer and panic products.

Gary Dean also recently joined CRL as director of sales and marketing. In this role, he is responsible for business development strategies and programs for the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and new markets. He has more than 24 years of experience in the glass industry, having served as CEO of Bohle America, Charlotte, N.C., and managing director of Bohle UK.  

 

YKK AP America

Officials from YKK AP America, Austell, Ga., promoted Greg Taylor to national sales manager. He previously served as regional sales manager and is now responsible for the development and overall performance of the company’s commercial products sales force throughout the United States. He has more than 25 years of experience in architectural aluminum products. Prior to YKK AP, he worked as vice president for a major contracting firm in Texas.

Viracon

Viracon Inc., Owatonna, Minn., added Lance Lawrence to its Architectural Design team as an architectural design specialist. He will work closely with architects and specifiers in all Viracon markets. Prior to joining Viracon, Lawrence worked with KKE Architects Inc. in Minneapolis as a job captain in its government division. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional.

 

Bendheim

Officials from Bendheim, Passaic, N.J., named Oleg Boldyrev architectural flat glass production manager. He will be responsible for the company’s architectural flat glass processes, overseeing production and sampling of specialty decorative glasses. He has more than 12 years of management experience in plant operations, extensive software development knowledge and team management skills. Prior to joining Bendheim, he worked as production/operations manager for Carvart Inc., Brooklyn, N.Y.

Crawford Tracey Corp.

Officials at Crawford Tracey Corp., Deerfield Beach, Fla., announced that William (Bill) Bonner joined the company in a sales, estimating and business development capacity. He has 28 years experience in the glass industry as a subcontractor and consultant. Prior to joining CTC, he worked for Glazing Consultants International LLC, West Palm Beach, Fla., as a senior consultant, and sales and marketing manager.

 

Tubelite / Wausau Window and Wall Systems

Steve Seeling joined Tubelite Inc., Walker, Mich., as a client development manager representing the company's architectural aluminum products, and Wausau Window and Wall Systems, Wausau, Wis., as an architectural sales representative. At Tubelite, he will assist commercial building teams in Arkansas, Kansas, western Missouri and Nebraska; at Wausau, he will represent Nebraska and the surrounding area. He has three decades experience in the industry. Most recently, he worked at Traco, Cranberry Township, Pa., as an architectural sales representative.

 

Coastal Industries

Chad Rainwater joined Jacksonville, Fla.-based Coastal Industries' Houston distribution center as territory sales rep. He has several years of shower door sales experience in the Texas area. He is responsible for sales in the Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi markets.
