Sentech Architectural Systems

Don Brown joined specialty structural glass firm Sentech Architectural Systems, Austin, Texas, as principal and will assume responsibility as president and CEO. Brown most recently served as president and CEO for Conservatek Industries Inc., Conroe, Texas, for more than 16 years.

Alan Radvinsky also joined the company as project engineer, and will assume responsibility for the design of structural glass systems using Finite Element Analysis, coordination of design work and oversight of all project design phases. Radvinsky recently graduated from Columbia University, New York City.

 On-Site Systems Architectural Glass

Officials from On-Site Systems Architectural Glass, Suwanee, Ga., hired a new vice president of sales and marketing, Rich Bowden Jones. Jones is a 25-year veteran in business development and management in the architectural products industry.  

 

The Glass Guru

The Glass Guru, headquartered in Roseville, Calif., made two key additions to its executive management team. Glen Greenfelder, Jr., has been named director of franchise sales, and Derek Pearson has been appointed to the newly created position of director of franchise development.

Greenfelder is a 14-year business consulting veteran with a focus on sales and marketing. Pearson has 10 years of experience in all aspects of business development, in both large international corporations and growth companies.

Key Glass

Officials from commercial glazing contractor Key Glass, Bradenton, Fla., announced that Diana Bernal has joined the company to lead its marketing and business development efforts. Prior to joining Key Glass, Bernal was a communication specialist for Captivation Media Group, Sarasota, Fla.

Edgetech

Officials from Edgetech I.G., Cambridge, Ohio, announced the appointment of Joe Garrett to assistant controller. Garrett holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Kent State University, North Canton, Ohio, and is a Leadership Tuscarawas graduate. Garrett has a background in manufacturing and finance, and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Tapani Lankinen has been appointed Finland-based Glaston's senior vice president, Human Resources, as of Oct. 1, 2010. Lankinen will be a member of Glaston Corp.'s Executive Management Group and report to Arto Metsänen, president and CEO. Lankinen joins Glaston from Cargotec Corp., Helsinki, where most recently, he was vice president, Regional HR Head for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

 

Morse Industries

Officials from Kent, Wash.-based Morse Industries made several personnel announcements. Tracy Tughan was hired as purchasing manager. Tughan was previously the director of private label operations for a nationwide hosiery manufacturer. She will be responsible for the purchasing function including logistics, vendor relations and product development.

Jeremy Nolan was promoted to inside sales manager. Nolan started with Morse Industries four years ago as an inside sales specialist.

Lastly, Jonathan Henning joined the inside sales team as an inside sales specialist. Henning was previously with T-Scan Corp., Seattle, where he managed client accounts.

 Bendheim

Bill Zientarski joined Bendheim, Passaic, N.J., as Chicago area architectural glass sales representative. He will be responsible for sales of the company's specialty architectural flat glass products in the Midwest construction market. Zientarski brings more than 15 years of sales and management experience in the glass and metal industry to Bendheim. He is also an architectural sales representative for Viracon, Owatonna, Minn. Previously, he was an account manager for Oldcastle Glass, now Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, in Warrenton, Mo., and a national sales director for Doralco, Alsip, Ill.

Jon Underwood has been appointed general manager for Zero International's Western Distribution Center in Las Vegas. In addition to managing order fulfillment for shipping throughout the West, Underwood is responsible for Las Vegas area sales for both Zero and subsidiary Advantage Lites & Louvers, Bronx, N.Y.

Officials from Walker, Mich.-based Tubelite Inc. announced G. Bowie and Associates, Nashville, as its manufacturer's representative in Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in commercial building products and services, the G. Bowie team works closely with architects, contractors, consultants, property managers, building owners and developers throughout the Southeast region.
