Edgetech
Officials from Edgetech I.G. of Cambridge, Ohio, promoted Todd Haney to director of operations and hired Keith Berg as a Florida-based technical service representative.
Haney will be responsible for manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management and mixing technology. He joined the company in 2004 as engineering manager and before that, worked for six years at Lauren Manufacturing, New Philadelphia, Ohio, most recently as tooling manager. Haney holds a master's degree in engineering technology from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.
Berg will cover the Southeast United States, providing equipment installation and training to customers, and has more than eight years experience in technical service for window manufacturers. He reports to Mike Burk, technical service manager.
Bystronic Glass
Officials from Bystronic Glass Inc., Hauppauge, N.Y., subsidiary of Bystronic AG of Switzerland, promoted Scott Knisely to vice president of sales and marketing for North America. Most recently, he served as general manager of Bystronic Solution Centre Inc., Ottawa, Ontario. He joined the company in 2006, and has 10 years experience in the window manufacturing industry.
YKK AP
Ben Baker has been promoted to national transportation systems manager for YKK AP America Inc. of Austell, Ga., to implement logistics strategies and work on new transportation plans. He has been employed with the company for nine years, including seven years as logistics coordinator, and holds a master's in logistics management from Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, Ga.
The Wagner Cos.
Alexander Harris joined The Wagner Cos. of Milwaukee, as an estimator/customer service representative for Systems. He will estimate Wagnerail projects, serve Lumenrail LED-lighted railing systems customers, and develop new manufacturing processes to support the railing systems business. He served as assistant project manager at Vogel Engineering Inc., New Berlin, Wis., and holds a Bachelor of Science in construction from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie, Wis.
Southwall Technologies
Southwall Technologies Inc., Palo Alto, Calif., appointed Dennis Capovilla CEO. During the last year, he served as president and chief operating officer. He joined the company in July 2003, and before Southwall, worked as vice president, Enterprise Sales at Palm Inc., headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif. Before Palm, Capovilla held several executive positions, including president and CEO for Fatbrain Inc., Santa Clara, Calif., since acquired by Barnes and Noble Inc., New York.
Eurotherm
Steve Blomquist has joined Eurotherm USA, Leesburg, Va., as president. He is responsible for business development in the North America, Central America and South America.
Before Eurotherm, he served as director, strategic process and marketing, at TMEIC GE Automation Systems, Salem, Va.; vice president of engineering at Dauphin Graphic Machines Inc., Elizabethville, Pa., now Manugraph DGM Inc., subsidiary of Manugraph India Ltd., India; and director and general manager at Schneider Electric, based in Paris.
Roto Frank of America
Window and door hardware manufacturer, Roto Frank of America Inc., Chester, Conn., hired Patrick Donnelly as western regional sales manager. He will manage and service the western region of the United States including Texas, introduce new products to existing and prospective customers and expand the company's customer base. Donnelly has 30 years experience in property development, risk management and manufacturing, and has held development, managerial and ownership positions in a variety of industries. Most recently, he served as national account - product manager for Century Hardware, Kirkland, Wash.
NFRC
The National Fenestration Rating Council, Greenbelt, Md., added Dennis Anderson as laboratory accreditation program associate. He will work with Scott Hanlon, laboratory accreditation program manager, to oversee relevant program documents and conduct annual laboratory inspections and evaluations. Previously, Anderson served as laboratory manager for Architectural Testing Inc.'s regional laboratory in St. Paul, Minn. Before joining ATI, Anderson worked as a project engineer for Stork Twin City Testing Corp., St. Paul, Minn., where he conducted testing of windows and doors for product certification and assisted clients with design problems.
Tubelite
Mary Olivier became marketing and client services manager at Tubelite Inc., Walker, Mich. She was client service manager, overseeing order entry and estimating teams, and will continue with those responsibilities as well as closely monitoring industry trends, managing external and internal communications and methods, and guiding product development decisions. Before joining Tubelite in 2006, she managed critical training programs for DTE Energy Corp., Detroit. She earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich.
Technoform
Officials from Technoform of Twinsburg, Ohio, promoted Milind Jhaveri to residential market manager. He is responsible for sales, marketing and strategic planning for the I-Spacer residential segment, as well as personnel development initiatives. He previously served as sales engineer and interim marketing manager for the I-Strut thermal insulating strut. Employed by Technoform since 2005, he has experience in research and development, product development, materials testing and ISO certification.
Co-Ex Corp.
Ron James joined Co-Ex Corp., Wallingford, Conn., manufacturer of multiwall and corrugated polycarbonate panels, as West Coast regional manager. He has held various positions in distribution and sales, including vice president of operations and vice president of sales and marketing. He has experience in polycarbonate panels for multiple markets including horticultural, shapes distribution, and metal building, and is based in Sacramento, Calif.
CGI Windows and Doors
CGI Windows and Doors Inc., Miami, named Brian Evans as president and CEO, and Tony Prummel and Ryan Duffield to newly created senior sales representative positions.
Evans has 28 years experience in building products serving as president and CEO of Turbocor Inc., now Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. of Tallahassee, Fla., and in senior executive posi-tions with Armstrong World Industries Inc., Lancaster, Pa., and American Standard Cos. and Trane Inc., both of Piscataway, N.J.
Prummel will oversee sales activities in Palm Beach County and Broward County, Fla., and Duffield will be responsible for Miami-Dade County and Monroe County, Fla.
KMT Waterjet Systems
Officials from KMT Waterjet Systems, Baxter Springs, Kan., promoted Bryon Machado to area manager for Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Wyoming. He will help customers with system performance issues, and provide information on the company's new products and services. Previously, he worked for three years at headquarters in new application development and inside sales support. Machado has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla.
Armetco Systems
Scott Blair became vice president of sales for Dallas-based Armetco Systems Inc. He has 30 years experience in the metal panel business at sales, management and executive levels. In January 2005 he became an independent sales representative for the company, was named Eastern regional sales manager in April 2006, and promoted to national sales manager in April 2007. He managed the opening of the Atlanta sales office and Monroe, Ga., fabrication facility, and will continue to be based in Atlanta.
Reliant Glass and Door Systems
Reliant Glass and Door Systems, Sheboygan, Wis., added Kristine Nourse as after-market account manager and promoted Todd Bechle to project manager for the aluminum and glass product line. Nourse will service facility managers, building and grounds directors and building owners in the Milwaukee area. She previously worked in project management and sales for Wisconsin Automatic Door Inc., New Berlin, Wis.
Bechle has worked for the company for more than 14 years in progressively responsible positions in both the hollow metal and hardware and aluminum and glass businesses.
Amesbury Group
Officials from Amesbury Group, Amesbury, Mass., promoted David Kline to director of sales and marketing for its window hardware division. His primary focus will be on division growth through existing and new product sales. He previously served as window hardware sales manager for Fastek Products.
Cubellis
Boston-based Cubellis added four to its Building Envelope Services team, each joining the company from Jacobs Edwards and Kelcey, Morristown, N.J.
Dan McLaughlin, associate principal, has more than 25 years experience in providing roofing, waterproofing and construction management services for projects involving exterior building envelope technology. He has managed roofing programs for major contractors in New England, ensuring conformance with design specifications.
Peter Bowman joined as director with more than 37 years experience in project management, design and facilities engineering, with concentrated expertise in roofing assessment and replacement, structural engineering, site/civil engineering and building envelope restoration.
V. Herb Ule, senior project manager, has more than 28 years experience providing engineering services for projects involving exterior building envelope technology, from design through contract completion. He has worked projects ranging from building restorations to large retail, industrial and distribution facilities.
New director of capital asset planning, Phaldie Taliep has more than 30 years experience in providing project management for projects involving planning, urban design, programming and building engineering services for housing, facilities, master plans, environmental, and economic development.
The team's focus includes investigation of building envelope failure, remedial solutions design and construction administration, new construction design, document review and development, and construction administration services.
FeneTech
FeneTech Inc., Aurora, Ohio, hired Horst Mertes as senior business developer for the newly launched FeneVision Glass enterprise resource planning, or ERP, software. His role will be to expand the company's offerings and services to glass processors in North America and overseas. An industry software specialist, Mertes has more than 25 years of international experience. Mertes previously worked for Albat + Wirsam North America Inc., headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., as director of sales and marketing. Before that, he served as general manager for Lisec America Software, based in Oakdale, Minn.
Continental Glass and Hardware
Las Vegas-based Continental Glass and Hardware added Mark Van Duyne as vice president of sales and marketing. Bringing more than 30 years industry experience in the mirrored wardrobe door and hardware industry, he will provide strategic leadership and overall management of the field sales organization. He was vice president and general manager of Arthur Cox and Sons in Industry, Calif.
Frank Lowe Rubber and Gasket
Frank Lowe Rubber and Gasket Co., Shirley, N.Y., hired John Rovtar to be responsible for business development. He brings more than 30 years fenestration industry experience with a background in administrative operations and business development. He has managed American Architectural Manufacturers Association and National Fenestration Rating Council testing for window and door products, and customer and technical service representatives. Rovtar previously served as general manager of Air Tite Manufacturing, Long Beach, N.Y., now defunct, and director of product development and technical service at Survivor Technologies Inc., Hillside, N.J.
China Architectural Engineering
Officials from China Architectural Engineering Inc. based in China with U.S. offices in Los Angeles promoted John Anderson to chief operating officer. He joined CAE earlier this year to launch and oversee the company's U.S. subsidiary, CAE Building Systems Inc. based in New York. In his new role, Anderson will oversee the company's global operations while remaining president of the company's U.S. subsidiary. He brings more than 30 years senior-level domestic and international experience in project management and operations. Before joining CAE, he served as senior consultant with Israel Berger and Associates Inc., New York, specializing in building envelope evaluation.
Formtek
Rick Wilson became senior vice president of sales and marketing for Formtek, Cleveland, metal forming and metal processing equipment provider. He will direct external machinery sales and marketing efforts for North America. Wilson has more than 25 years experience in a variety of manufacturing industries, mostly in sales related roles.
ATech Machine
Officials from ATech Machine Inc., Gaithersburg, Md., named Al Yoldas as engineering manager and Hande Kilic as marketing manager.
Yoldas is responsible for vinyl, aluminum and wood window manufacturing machinery, servicing the East Coast. He will work in material and process development, and research and physical testing of a variety of products. Before joining ATech, he was industrial engineer for several manufacturers, coordinating product development and technical service.
Kilic manages requests received by the marketing department, as well as media, promotions and publishing of the company's newsletter. Before joining ATech, she spent eleven years at several global corporations as marketing manager and specialist.
Jordan, Knauff and Co.
Michael Collins has been promoted to vice president, Building Products Group at Chicago-based Jordan, Knauff and Co., an investment bank serving U.S. private companies. He focuses on advising window and door companies on liquidity events, acquisitions and capital placements. Collins will develop the firm's existing practice in other segments of the building products industry.
Belron US
Officials from Belron US of Columbus, Ohio, named Thomas Feeney as president and CEO. He has worked as executive vice president and chief client officer of Belron US since 2007, when the company acquired Safelite Group. Since joining Safelite in 1988, he held several positions including senior vice president, retail operations and group senior vice president. In October 1991, he became senior vice president, client sales and support, and then executive vice president and chief client officer for Safelite Solutions in 2003. Before Safelite, Feeney worked as vice president of franchise operations for Tenneco Automotive Retail, now known as Tenneco, both of Lake Forest, Ill.
Glass America
Chicago-based Glass America hired four to staff its new location in Monona, Wis. Todd Hetrick joined as operations manager and Kurt Annen as auto glass technician. They have 40 years combined auto glass installation experience.
Russell Fye, account manager, has been in the industry for more than 20 years working in distribution, customer relations and information technology.
Courtney Riege joined as customer service representative.
Glasspro
Patty Caughman joined Glasspro Inc. of Charleston, S.C., as accounts payable representative. Her responsibilities include managing vendor accounts, uniform inventory, registration of company vehicles and general accounts payable duties. Before Glasspro, she worked in the accounts payable department of Magnolia Health Systems, headquartered in Indianapolis.
Vilma Watson also joined the company as bilingual customer service representative responsible for order processing, customer service, pricing, inventory, administrative and job order follow-up. She worked as a CSR at McKesson Corp., North Charleston, S.C.
