Tips to stay safe while driving during winter
COMMERCIAL, RETAIL, AUTO, FABRICATION : SAFETY
The winter months present challenges to driving that are far different than those faced in the summer time. There are a number of things you can do to minimize the risk of an accident.
On the preventative side, make sure your vehicle has good wiper blades and that they are operating properly. Tires with good deep treads are essential for good cornering and handling on slippery roads. Check the air pressure frequently during colder months.
Clean all of the snow and ice off the vehicle before you start out. If you have ever witnessed a chunk of ice sailing off another vehicle and hit yours, you know the hazard it creates.
Other steps include getting the feel of the road, stretching your following distance, pumping your brakes and using proper lights.
