AAMA announces new technical staff appointments

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association announced new staff appointments during the AAMA National Fall Conference, held October 14-17 in Albuquerque, N.M. Ken Brenden has been promoted to technical director, responsible for reviewing content of all AAMA technical document drafts and ballots; representing AAMA at selected industry organization events; overseeing all code and regulatory activities, as well as certification-related programs; and supervising all department staff and areas of responsibility including guidance and monitoring of new department employee training.

Dean Lewis has been named educational and technical information manager, responsible for developing and reviewing all educational course content, including FenestrationMasters; reviewing and editing content of all AAMA marketing materials and media inquiries pertaining to technical activities; and reviewing recommended revisions to the InstallationMasters training manual and related materials. 

Laslty, Rich Rinka has been appointed certification manager, a position in which he will direct all certification-related activities with direct management responsibilities for the AAMA air, water and structural Gold Label Certification Program, as well as the AAMA Thermal Certification Program. Rinka also will manage all aspects of the ANSI accreditation requirements in addition to certification-related audits, according to an AAMA release.
