AAMA ratifies 2012 board; appoints Heppes as affiliated association officer
At the American Architectural Manufacturers Association 75th Annual Conference in Naples, Fla., the AAMA membership ratified the 2012 board of directors, which included Jerry Heppes, CEO of the Door and Hardware Institute. Heppes fills the affiliated association seat formerly held by Phil James of the National Glass Association.
"We are excited to have Jerry Heppes on the board," said Rich Walker, president and CEO, AAMA, in a release. "With more than 20 years of experience, he brings to this role excellent association contacts and an extensive knowledge of the openings industry. At this juncture, it is important to extend our sincere appreciation to Phil James who provided valued input on association benchmarks and firsthand insight into activities such as lobbying and online education."
Members of AAMA's 2012 board of directors include: Chair Steve Fronek of Apogee, Vice Chair Rod Hershberger of PGT, Treasurer Gary Pember of Simonton and Immediate Past Chair Gantt Miller of Winco.
Architectural representatives include Bill Deuschle of Kawneer, Georges Thiret of Graham and Mike Turner of YKK AP. Residential representatives are Larry Ehlinger of Pella, Kim Flanary of Milgard and Dave Webster of Kinro. Supplier representatives are Mike Hovan of Quanex Building Products and Kevin Seiling of VEKA. Ex-officio members include Ray Garries of JELD-WEN, Chuck Gilderman of Truth Hardware, Dennis Kelly of Graham and Chris Magnuson of Wasco.
