Asahi Glass operating profit to beat forecast, Nikkei says

Asahi Glass Co.’s full-year operating profit will probably fall less than expected, partly because of a rise in Chinese demand for liquid-crystal-display glass substrates, the Nikkei newspaper reported. China’s program to encourage sales of electronics increased demand for LCD televisions, according to an Oct. 21 Bloomberg.com report.
