Cardinal Solar Technologies production could start in June

There are no sidewalks yet, no landscaping to deck the new Cardinal Solar Technologies factory in Mazomanie. But 25 employees are on the job, installing equipment and getting trained, plant manager Jeff Valek says.

They will manufacture the rear portion of solar panels — clear glass with a special edge — and will ship it to solar equipment manufacturers.

In about a month, the first products will be made and tested; commercial production could start in June, Valek says, according to an April 5 report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
