Chinese and Israeli companies partner to advance solar window technology

Nanjing, China-based China Sunergy Co. Ltd. and Pythagoras Solar, an Israeli firm, have agreed to jointly develop and market building integrated photovoltaic products for a five-year period extending through 2015. The production of the BIPV products will be done in China.

The agreement positions both companies to capitalize on opportunities in the growing BIPV market through the use of Pythagoras Solar's transparent, high power photovoltaic glass units. Both said they believe working together will greatly accelerate the adoption of the technology, according to a Dec. 7 Renewable Energy Magazine report.
