Construction hire rate reaches 7.3 percent in September

The hire rate in construction increased in September to 7.3 percent, up from 5.6 percent in August, according to the Nov. 11 Data DIGest from the Associated General Contractors of America. However, job openings in the sector remain scarce, with only 75,000 openings at the end of September, according to the report.
