Construction industry gains 30,000 jobs in December

The U.S. construction industry gained 30,000 jobs in December, the fastest pace of industry employment growth since February 2011, according to a Jan. 4 report from the U.S. Labor Department, as reported by the Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. Year over year, the sector has gained just 18,000 jobs, a 0.3 percent increase.
