Cornwall Glass acquires Seleda assets

Cornwall Glass & Glazing [England] has bought the assets of Seleda Ltd. out of administration, saving more than 20 jobs at the Saltash [England]-based glass manufacturer in the process.

Cornwall Glass moved quickly to agree to a deal with administrators Begbies Traynor, after Seleda entered administration on July 17.

A new company has been formed–Westcountry Glass–which will continue to manufacture high-quality sealed glass units to window and joinery companies throughout the southwest from its Saltash base, according to a July 22 Business Cornwall report.
