Decorative glass tops agenda on first day of GANA Annual Conference
Glass industry representatives are gathering this week in San Diego for the 2013 Glass Association of North America Annual Conference. The conference kicked off Monday morning with the Decorative Division Technical Committee, covering a range of items including a new Glazing Informational Bulletin on the "Recyclability of Architectural Glass Products," to task group discussions on product color, durability and standards on decorative glass. Among the new business brought up included a discussion on the effect of the decorating process on the durability of glass. That dialogue led to a new task group being formed to look into the subject.
The afternoon of the first day featured additional Decorative Division dealings as well as a meeting of the Mirror Division. The sessions continue throughout the week with gatherings of the Tempering, Insulating, Laminating and Energy Committees.
Approximately 100 people were on hand for the GANA Annual Conference, which was formerly known as Glass Week.
