Diamut America and Canada hire new sales manager

Diamut, Charlotte, N.C., part of the Biesse Group, hired Michele Ragno as sales manager for the United States and Canada, according to an April 15 release.

Ragno has a strong technical tooling background, having worked for several years as sales manager for another industry player. In addition, Ragno has extensive experience in programming CNC machines and is familiar with design software programs like Autocad, the release states.

“ We are confident in the fact that [Ragno] will bring added technical value to this position, as the demand from our dealers in technical support is evolving to face our competition and the need for new industry applications” said Federico Broccoli, president and CEO, in the release. “The Biesse Group have high expectations for Diamut. We see potential business growth at three times our actual sales and we will direct our efforts towards industries such as glass, ceramic, cements, as well as all new opportunities that have not been pursued with sufficient focus in the past.”

Ragno's main duties will be to develop a strong dealer network; provide support and product training; set budgets; manage inventory levels; support the marketing team's efforts to improve the Diamut brand communication; and make sure customer satisfaction and loyalty reach the highest level in North America, according to the release.
