Glass bridge across Orchard

A new architectural landmark will soon make its presence in a first of its kind along Orchard Road [Singapore].

Plans for a mixed development project to be built straddling the former Orchard Emerald and Specialists' Centre/Phoenix Hotel sites will feature the first-ever glass overhead bridge across Orchard Road.

This piece of 'unique architecture will offer a new postcard view of Orchard Road,' said United Engineers Ltd. group managing director and chief executive Jackson Yap on Friday [July 16], according to a same-day report in The Straits Times.
