Glass panels to hold names of fallen officers

A gleaming monument to the county's fallen law enforcement officers was erected on the San Diego County Administration Center's southwest lawn months ago.

The majestic glass panes – etched with the names of officers who died while on duty – keep cracking for no clear reason, according to a Dec. 15 SignOnSanDiego.com report.
