Glaston releases interim report

Glaston Corp., Tampere, Finland, released an interim report for the January-June 2010 time period. According to the Aug. 24 report, net sales are expected to be at the 2009 level; officials expect the operating result to improve significantly in comparison to last year.

"The cautious recovery of the market continued in the second quarter of the year, in particular in Asia and South America. In Europe and North America, in the traditional main markets for Glaston, the market remains subdued and recovery is slower than expected," said Arto Metsänen, president and CEO, Glaston, in the release.
