The AGC Flat Glass North America [Marshall, Mich., Nov. 12] plant closure affects all 28 employees. Employees have been offered a “very good severance package,” Business Manager Carl Price said.
The Japanese-owned company makes insulating glass for residential homes [in this plant]. The glass is shipped to framing companies and then sold to home owners.
Price said there have not been enough orders for new glass in Michigan to keep the plant afloat.
