Mexican glass maker Vitro investors form shareholder pact

Mexican glass maker Vitro SAB said Thursday [April 29] that the Sada family and tycoon Alfredo Harp Helu have formed a shareholders pact.

The Sadas, who own 14.39 percent of Vitro's shares, and Harp Helu, who has 9.86 percent of shares, have agreed to vote their shares together as a block under an agreement that went into effect Wednesday [April 28], Vitro said in a filing with the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Vitro also said its board of directors has authorized Harp Helu to increase his stake in the company up to 15 percent of its capital, according to an April 29 report in The Wall Street Journal.
