Mexico's Vitro suspends flat glass plant after hurricane

Mexican glass manufacturer Vitro SAB said Tuesday [July 6] it has temporarily suspended operations at its flat glass plant in Monterrey due to flooding and damage from the passage last week of Hurricane Alex.

The Monterrey company said in a filing with the Mexican stock exchange that its glass containers plants weren't affected and continue operating normally, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.
