New coursework forthcoming on insulating glass
The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance’s Certification and Education Committee has started developing coursework on IG manufacturing quality.
The seminar took shape as technical working groups met during IGMA’s summer meeting at the Sheraton Centre Toronto on July 29 to Aug. 1.
Members of the Certification and Education Committee started working on course content for the IG Manufacturing Quality Procedures education seminar, based on a manual of the same name.
“The pilot will be done in a year,” says Margaret Webb, IGMA executive director. “The hardest part was setting the objectives.”
The following technical working groups also met to review standards and policies: Glazing Guidelines Working Group, the Gas Permeability Working Group, the Thermal Stress Working Group and the Visual Quality Working Group.
