Pilkington’s Stuart Chambers to head flat glass business

Nippon Sheet Glass officials approved a top-level organizational structure for the Japanese company, incorporating officials from the United Kingdom’s Pilkington that NSG acquired in June 2006, according to a Jan. 15 NSG announcement.

The new organizational structure includes the development of an integrated flat glass business that will be headed by Stuart Chambers, the former chief executive officer of Pilkington, according to the release.

The segment includes the development, manufacturing and sale of architectural products, automotive glass and glazing systems, according to the release.

Pat Zito, the former head of Pilkington’s automotive division, will lead the automotive segment of the flat glass business, according to the release.
