PGC International to present at glasstec
For the first time in its history, the Protective Glazing Council International, Topeka, Kan., will give a presentation internationally, according to an association release Sept. 24. Raj Goyal, business development manager, Architectural Testing Inc., Los Angeles, will present “Protective Glazing for Blast Loads and Other Disasters” at glasstec, Oct. 21-25, in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“The Protective Glazing Council became PGC International in early 2008, and this event marks the beginning of our effort to reach across the borders of the United States and embrace a more global approach to protective glazing technologies,” said Brian Pitman, director of marketing and communications, in the release. “By presenting on mostly American technologies in Europe, we hope to offer potential members beneficial information as an incentive to join the organization as we begin to offer services beyond any national borders.”
The presentation on Oct. 21 will focus on various technologies and strategies for building envelope protection, including laminated glazing applications, applied film and other technologies. Goyal also will cover various standards in effect in the United States and offer information about PGC International and its efforts.
