Quanex hosts congressmen at Cambridge and Yakima facilities
Quanex Building Products recently hosted U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, representing Ohio’s Sixth District, at its Cambridge, Ohio, facility, in addition to U.S. Rep. Doc Hastings, representing Washington’s Fourth District, at its Yakima, Wash., facility. During these facility visits, the congressmen spent time learning about Quanex’s role in the window and door industry and its advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., according to a company release.
“Job creation through advances in manufacturing is critically important to growing America's economy. Companies like Quanex, in Cambridge, that manufacture energy-efficient products, are so important to bringing manufacturing jobs back to Eastern and Southeastern Ohio,” said Congressman Johnson, in the release.
"I was pleased to see first-hand the innovative, energy-efficient building materials Quanex produces,” said Congressman Hastings, in the same release. “This is exciting news for Central Washington."
