Revenue up, net profit down for Xinyi Glass Holdings

Xinyi Glass Holdings Ltd., which primarily serves greater China, North America and Europe, reported total revenue was up 18.3 percent in the first half of 2012 versus the prior-year period. Net profit for the six months decreased 43.4 percent, mainly due to the decline in the selling prices of float glass and solar glass products during the period, according to the company's interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2012.
