Saint Gobain to expand Brazil glass venture with NSG

French building-materials giant Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA Tuesday [May 25] announced a joint plan with its Japanese peer Nippon Sheet Glass Co. to build a new flat glass plant near Sao Paulo to supply Brazil's construction market.

The plant is due on stream in the fourth quarter of 2011 and will have a daily output of 900 metric tons of flat glass, Saint Gobain said in a statement, according to a May 25 report in The Wall Street Journal.
