Snowblower Shatters Glass Panel at NYC Apple Store
Snow clean-up crews reportedly shattered one of the 15 oversized monolithic glass panels on the iconic 32-foot glass cube Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, according to a PCMag report. The panel is still standing, and the store has been operating normally since the incident.
Apple officials estimate the glass panel repair to cost $450,000, excluding labor. The 15 panels were installed in 2011, replacing the original cube that was made up of 90 panels, according to the report.
