Solutia reports second quarter 2010 results

Solutia Inc., St. Louis, reported net income from continuing operations of $24 million for the second quarter 2010, compared to $24 million for the same period in 2009, according to a July 26 release. These results were impacted by certain events affecting comparability resulting in a net charge of $29 million in 2010 and a net charge of $8 million in 2009.
