Catalina Tempering to open new plant in Hampton, Iowa

Catalina Tempering, a subsidiary of Glasswerks Inc., is expanding its operations to Hampton, Iowa. 

“We are thrilled to open our sixth plant in Iowa, which is quickly becoming a model for modern manufacturing and alternative energy,” Catalina Tempering President Randy Steinberg  is quoted as saying in a September 27 GlobeGazette.com report. The Hampton location will produce tempered glass to be used for commercial and residential architecture. The company will spend the next four-to-six months setting up the plant, which is anticipated to initially create 25 jobs, according to the article.
