Parking rules shatter glass shop's future

An iconic shopfront will soon be a thing of the past when a 40-year-old glass business downsizes after losing trade to parking restrictions, according to a Sept. 17 Hornsey Journal report.

Independent shop Carters Glass on Crouch End Hill [London] says it has been crippled by parking restrictions introduced in the last two years.

The glass store, which specializes in mirrors, double glazing and framing, faces a future where yet more parking restrictions could be imminent if a new Crouch End controlled parking zone is passed by Haringey Council.
