Glass removal tool

Ajax Tocco Magnethermic Corp. of Warren, Ohio, introduced the Autotron induction heating system for the removal of automotive glass.  The tool emits an electromagnetic wave that causes the vehicle tmetal to produce heat, releasing the adhesive-bonded glass.  This process eliminates the need for traditional cutting tools and reduces labor time, according to company representatives.  Technicians can remove encapsulated and other expensive windows without damage, including those with embedded sensors and electronics.  The tool enables techs to remove small quarter windows in 90 seconds from the vehicle exterior, without removing the interior trim, according to a release.  It is also suitable for removing rear sliding windows and vent windows with plastic frames.
