Intelligent glass

American Glass Products, Knoxville, Tenn., introduced AGP Vario Plus-Sky SPD-SmartGlass, a laminated glass that allows vehicle passengers to control the transparency of windows and sunroofs with the touch of a button.  The glass can switch from completely dark to highly transparent, or anywhere in between, according to a release.  The product enables users to instantly and precisely control the amount of light, glare and heat coming through the glass using patented SPD light-control film technology from Research Frontiers Inc., Woodbury, N.Y.
