Rehau of Leesburg, Va., introduced the UniFit Pinch-N-Go universal molding. Available in five sizes, the molding provides cold flexibility and proven squeak resistance, according to a release. It features a “clothespin” hinge for easier installation onto the glass, regardless of thickness. It also has grip ridges to minimize primer runs. Other features include barbs for better retention on the glass, two nylon cords to reduce stretch and snapback during installation and a lip position to accommodate body and glass deck variations.
Also available from the molding manufacturer is a variable extrusion molding that incorporates a water-management feature along the A pillars. An extra lip channels water away from the windshield, sending it up and over the roof for better driver visibility. The molding is suitable for various vehicle models, including the 1999-2002 two- and four-door Honda Civic, part number FW0821, and 1999-2007 Honda Odyssey, part number FW2109.
