Pit resin

Delta Kits Inc., Eugene, Ore., has developed a new windshield repair pit resin, 144-14 Premium Pit Plus. The new resin minimizes air bubbles at the bottle tip, making it easier to place, according to a release.

The viscocity of Premium Pit Plus bridges the gap between traditional pit resins and higher viscocity plate glass resins. The new resin is formulated to cure faster than competitive products and to provide a superior resistance to weathering and yellowing.

Premium Pit Plus is ideally suited for filling pits of all sizes: whether used for filling large or small surface chips, or to cap large pits prior to injecting low viscocity resin into damaged glass. The new resin also leaves a smooth, hard, glass-like finish that eliminates wiper streaks and maximizes the appearance of a completed repair, according to the release.
