Windshield Installation Tool

Aegis Tools International, Madison, Wis., got U.S. Patent No. 7,322,092 for its Solo windshield installation tool.  The labor-saving device allows one auto glass technician to install a windshield that would normally require two technicians, according to a release.  Features include: four suction cups, two each for the door glass and windshield; a single-piece, hardened steel supporting rod with industrial-strength bearing for smooth and steady movement; and a drop-down pivot pin that eliminates the risk of disturbing the urethane seal during setting.
