Bio-Glass

Coverings ETC has developed Bio-Glass glass panels, made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled glass. Bio-Glass—made from recycled beer, wine and water bottles—contains no colorants or other additives. The glass panels can be used for interior projects in applications including countertops, backsplashes or stair treads, or for exterior cladding. The glass is available in six colors, two of which are translucent and can be backlit. Bio-Glass is 100 percent recyclable, and can be placed into the same recycling container as drink bottles. The post-consumer recycled content may contribute to credits in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program from the U.S. Green Building Council, according to a company release.
