Cutting, edging, CNC machines
Italy’s Bavelloni, part of Glaston, Finland, launched new cutting, edging and CNC Machines, as well as grinding cup wheels.
The new PowerEdge line of double edgers come in a variety of models based on wheel configuration and glass size, up to a maximum dimension of 10.83 feet by 23.62 feet. A range of modules and options are available to meet customers' specific needs.
The NRG 330 CNC machine, with a workable dimension of 10.83 feet by 5.58 feet, can be used for architectural, furniture, shower door and interior design glass processing. It features a modular design and large range of accessories that make the machine highly customizable.
The company’s new cutting machines include the REV and Syncro Low-E models. REV models are now available equipped with an automatic device for the shaped and straight edge deletion, grinding of low-E coatings, performed by a cup wheel system. The wheel redressing cycle is done automatically directly on the glass edge and requires no intervention by the operator. A suction/filtering unit processes the powder produced during the grinding or dressing operations.
The MFS 37/27c Low-E is the first model of the company’s Syncro cutting technology range that can be supplied with an automatic device for edge deletion, such as a peripheral wheel. The machine automatically controls grinding path and pressure, and the rotation speed of the wheel.
The company also introduced a new range of grinding cup wheels, Architools, to meet the grinding and polishing needs of the architectural sector. The line includes diamond and polishing tools, and can be used with straight line and double edging machines that operate with cup wheels. The wheels have been developed to cope with high processing speed while maintaining a good quality finish, according to a company release.
