CVD system

Arkema Inc. of Philadelphia developed the Certincoat online CVD, or chemical vapor deposition, system. It uses a pyrolytic coating technology that allows flat glass manufacturers to produce energy efficient coated glass products. Integrated into the glass making process, the technology costs less than most alternatives, including magnetic sputter vapor deposition, or MSVD, according to a company release. High yields and efficiency, extended campaign durations and an energy-efficient process help keep costs low, according to the release. The system can be adapted to a range of line widths and bath capacities. Custom engineering includes site-specific structural design and layout.
