Decorative laminated safety glass

Passaic, N.J.-based Bendheim added a production line for the manufacture of decorative laminated safety glasses. The line can incorporate a wide range of specialty interlayers, including custom colors, fabrics, metals, wood veneers and photographic images. The machinery applies heat and pressure in a vacuum chamber to permanently encapsulate film interlayers between two or more lites of glass. The resulting laminated glasses offer aesthetics, enhanced sound-control properties and safety, in sizes up to 80 inches by 130 inches and thicknesses up to 1.75 inches.
