Henkel Corp. of Rocky Hill, Conn., introduced Terostat 7100 adhesive/ sealant and Terostat 7700 adhesive, primerless permanently elastic formulations used to bond and seal a variety of dissimilar substrates and resist vibration. One-component and odorless, they are non-corrosive and free of solvents, isocyanates, silicones and polyvinyl chloride, according to a company release. The products cure by reacting with ambient moisture, reaching functional strength in 24 hours. Terostat 7100 fills gaps, resists weather and moisture, and withstands ongoing shock and impact. Available in white, gray or black, Terostat 7100 is suitable for building construction applications such as doors, windows, skylights, air and water penetration joints, expansion joints, wall penetrations and precast panels, among others.
