Fire-rated ceramic glass

Safti First, San Francisco, offers Pyran Platinum, a fire-rated ceramic glass free of toxins and hazardous heavy metals. Due to its advanced manufacturing process that eliminates the need and added costs of surface polishing, Pyran Platinum offers optical clarity free of tints and noticeable distortion typical of other fire-rated ceramic glass products. The ceramic glass is available in laminated and filmed versions that meet Consumer Product Safety Commission Cat. II impact safety and fully complies with the new safety requirements of the 2003 and 2006 International Building code. Pyran Platinum is manufactured by Schott and fire rated up to three hours with hose stream, but does not meet ASTM E-119 requirements. It is tested and approved by Underwriters Laboratory Inc. and listed and labeled by Intertek/Warnock Hersey Inc.
