Fire-rated glass-ceramic

Schott, with American headquarters in Elmsford, N.Y., introduced its Pyran Platinum fire-rated glass-ceramic products at the show. The environmentally friendly glass-ceramic panels have optimal clarity, offering new aesthetic solutions to designers who need to address fire- and impact-safety in building code-regulated locations. For transoms and windows, Pyran Platinum, along with Pyran Platinum F and Pyran Platinum L product lines for safety-rated locations such as doors and sidelites, are UL classified and meet necessary test standards including the required hose-stream test, according to a company release. Pyran Platinum products are manufactured without the use of environmentally hazardous toxins.
