Nathan Allan Glass Studios Inc., Richmond, British Columbia, created Stax Series fused clear glass panels. Glass pieces stacked in staggering heights are fused to create solid sheets. Designed to create feature walls over large surfaces, patterns include Beamz, a straight planks design; Flex, twisting fluid shapes; and Breez, with gentle rises, according to a company release. Sheets come in sizes up to 5 feet by 9 feet, thickness of about 1.25 inches, and weight of about 14.5 pounds per square foot. Color finishes can be applied to the flat back surface, and mirrored backing applied over the color finish. Stax Series can be laminated to a flat glass or mirrored panel to qualify as safety glass, according to the release.
