Glass inspection system

NxtGen-Glass
Dark Field Technologies, Orange, Conn., will display its new glass inspection technology system, NxtGen-Glass that utilizes laser, camera and self-aligning optical systems. Three optical systems are available for glass and coated glass inspection. The system detects float glass defects including edge chips/cracks, scratches, flairs, washer residue, warp, and problems with thickness, panel length, width and squareness. The system also detects TCO coating defects and other defects normally invisible to the eye that can cause downstream coating defects and reduced panel efficiency. The NxtGen-Glass system has a solid state design with no moving parts and is self aligning. Each high-speed scanner captures and analyzes more than 60 million pixels in each optical channel per second. Booth 2456.
