Glass laminated to marble veneer
Spain’s Cricursa showed its Crimar laminated glass made from bonding low-iron glass to a thin veneer of translucent marble. For interior and exterior use, the product’s applications include facades, skylights, canopies, interior partitions and flooring, among others. The patented lamination process uses non-organic interlayers to bond the marble and glass. Crimar resists ultraviolet rays and is made with annealed glass. It can be delivered either laminated or as a double glazing unit. Any marble can be used, subject to previous testing. The glass measures 2.1 feet by 7.87 feet.
