Graylight II glass

PPG Industries, Pittsburgh, has introduced Graylight II glass (pictured at right) a rich, almost-black glass that retains the aesthetic appearance of original Graylite glass (left) while providing significantly enhanced solar control performance. As a monolithic glass, Graylite II glass has a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.35 and visible light transmittance of 9 percent, which gives it the flexibility to satisfy a variety of glazing applications, including privacy glass.
